🥄 Living with a Tiny London Kitchen? Same. Here’s How to Make It Work.
If you live in London, chances are your kitchen isn’t exactly massive. Welcome to the club! Whether you’re in a cute little flat in Hackney or a classic terrace in Notting Hill, space is tight — but that doesn’t mean your kitchen can’t be stylish and super functional.
Here are a few things that actually help (yes, from someone who’s been there):
🧱 Go Vertical
Seriously, if your walls aren’t doing some of the work, you’re missing a trick. Hooks, shelves, rails — even magnetic knife strips. Get that stuff off the counter!
🍽️ Fold It, Hide It, Slide It
Multi-purpose furniture is your best friend. Fold-down tables, extendable counters, or that IKEA cart that somehow fits everywhere? Game-changers.
💡 Light = Space (At Least Visually)
Keep things light and bright. White cabinets, glossy tiles, and even a cheeky mirror splashback can make your kitchen feel way bigger than it actually is.
📦 Storage Ninjas Unite
Hidden drawers, pull-out shelves, baskets on top of cabinets — small kitchens are all about smart storage. Every inch counts.
🌱 Add Some Vibes
Even if it’s tiny, your kitchen should feel you. Add a plant, hang a fun print, or show off your favorite mugs. Like I did with this bright red rug. It’s your space — let it feel good.
