FAMILY TREE OF THE HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD

Prophet Muhammad,

Rasoolul Laah صلى الله عايه وسالم

 is the Last Messenger of Allaah Almighty.

He is the son of  Hazrat Abdul laah [545-571] Who was the son of Hazrat Abdul Muttalib, the son of Hashim, the son of Abd-e-Munnaf, the son of Qusaeyy, the son of Kilaab, the son of Murraah, the son of Kaab, the son of Luwaae, the son of Ghalib, the son of Fahr, the son of Maalik, the son of Nadar, the son of Kanannah, the son of Khazeemah, the son of Madrakah, the son of Ilyaas, the son of Madhar, the son of Nazaar, the son of Ma'a'ad, the son of Adnaan.

[May Allaah Almighty Blessings be upon them]

Up to this great grandfather the genealogy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عايه وسالم

has been unanimously agreed by all the Muslim and non-Muslim historians by correct records. All are unanimous on this point that the genealogy of the Holy Prophet

صلى الله عايه وسالم

commences from Prophet Hazrat Isma'eel the elder son of Prophet Hazrat Ibraheem [Allaah Almighty's Blessings on both of them]. It is Hazrat Ibraheem through Genealogy of Adnaan upto Hazrat Aadam [Alaiehis Salaam]is as follows:

 

Adnaan, the son of Aud, the son of Hamee, the son of Salaaman, the son of Thabit, the son of Jamaal, the son of Qaidaar, the son of Ismaail, the son of Ibraheem, the son of Aazar, the son of Sharukh, the son of Arghoo, the son of Qaane, the son of Khaabir, the son of Shalikh, the son of Arfahshad, the son of Saam, the son of Noah, the son of Lamak, the son of Mutawashlakh, the son of Ak'htankh, the son of Byaar, the son of Lyaall, the son of Qanytaan, the son of Anoosh, the son of Shees, the son of Hazrat Adam [Alaiehis Salaam].

 

THE NOBLE FATHER OF THE HOLY PROPHET

صلى الله عايه وسالم

 

The name of the respected father of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Meaning the most Praiseworthy]

 صلى الله عايه وسالم

is ‘Abdul Laah’ meaning the devotee of Allaah Almighty. He was the most handsome youngest son of Abdul Muttalib excellent in virtues with perfect attributes.[One hundred camels were sacrificed as thanks-giving to Allaah Almighty] by his father and the grandfather of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عايه وسالم.

His forehead reflected a profound illumination. He died at the age of twenty-five years. Holy Prophet صلى الله عايه وسالم

been in the womb of mother Hazrat Bibi Aaminah at that time for a few months. Thus, the Holy Prophet صلى الله عايه وسالم

belongs to a genealogy of Nobility.

THE BELOVED NOBLE MOTHER OF THE HOLY PROPHET صلى الله عايه وسالم

 

The name of the Beloved Noble Mother of the Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عايه وسالم

is Aaaminah, daughter of Wahaab, the son of Hashim, who was the son of Abd Munaaf. She was known as the beautiful, virtuous, modest and chaste lady. When she died, the Holy Prophet صلى الله عايه وسالم

was six years of age. Thus, the noble mother of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عايه وسالم

also belonged to the family of great nobility.

May Allaah Kareem Blessing be upon the Noble Parents.


A Genealogy of the Prophet Muhammad (Nisbat al-Nabi)

The manuscript opens with an illuminated page. The following spread, folios 1b–2a, contains the title of the manuscript, written in a bold gold script. The genealogy of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عايه وسالم follows, and it is written across the pages in the same bold script. His name begins on folio 2b, with the letters spelling ‘Muha–‘, and then continues as a straight line to folio 10b, where it is completed with the letters spelling ‘–mmad’, followed by his father’s name, ‘Abdul laah, on folio 11a, through his grandfather. ‘Abdul-Muttalib, and down the line to Hazrat Aadam [Alaiehis Salaam], on folio 24b. The text surrounding the genealogy offers information on the life of the Prophet, and his companions (the Blessed Sahabah's).
