BLESSINGS OF RAMADAN AND THE HOLY QUR'AN

The Blessed Holy Qur’an,/ Koran/Quran Al-Furqaan, Al-Kitaab, Al-Zikr, Al-Noor,Al-Hudaa was revealed during this month. 

“The month of Ramadan in which was sent the Qur’an-the Guidance for Mankind as a clear proof of that guidance and as a criterion for distinguishing between right and wrong"

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ) the Beloved Sahabah narrates that the Holy Qur'an was sent down as a single whole from the Well –Preserved Tablet (لوح المحفوظ) on the Night Of Power (لیلۃ القدر) in the month of Ramadan.

It was thereupon installed in the House of Glory (بیت العزۃ) in the Heaven of this lower world:

Hazrat Angel Jibraeel [Alaiehis Salaam] then brought it down and revealed it to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلّی اللہ علیہ وسلم) in a series of installments over the course of twenty three years.

(الغنیۃ) 

Hazrat Abdul lah Bin Umaar (رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ) narrates that

Holy Prophet (صلّی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said,

"Fasting and the Qur'an will intercede on behalf of a person." 

The fast will say "O Almighty Lord! 

I stopped him from eating and fulfilling his desires during the day, accept my intercession on his behalf".

The Qur'an will say, ".... I prevented him from sleeping at night, accept my intercession on his behalf." 

The intercession of both will be accepted."
