Too Hurt to Stay Away, Too Embarrassed to Come Closer

Muhammad
Prophet love

There is a certain ache that only love can produce. And when that love is for the one whom Allaah Kareem sent as a mercy to all the worlds—our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ—then the ache becomes sacred.

There are moments in our spiritual journey where we find ourselves caught in a silent storm:
Too hurt to stay away... because every breath away from his ﷺ remembrance feels like a betrayal of our own soul.
Yet...
Too embarrassed to come closer... burdened by our sins, our distractions, our neglect.

We yearn to send peace and blessings upon him ﷺ, but sometimes feel so spiritually distant that our words falter.
We want to follow his beautiful path, yet feel unworthy of even calling ourselves his Ummah.

But here is the beauty:
Even in our shame, we are still being pulled back—by love.
Even in our imperfection, we are still being invited—by mercy.

The Prophet ﷺ once said,

“Every one of my Ummah will enter Paradise, except the one who refuses.”

And when asked who would refuse, he replied,
“Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me has refused.”

(Reported in Bukhari)

It wasn’t a rejection. It was an invitation—a door left open.

Prophet ﷺ cried for his Ummah. He ﷺ made du‘a for those he had never seen. He ﷺ held back curses for those who harmed him, just in case their offspring would one day believe.
That is the kind of love we are standing in front of.

So maybe we are broken. Maybe we’ve stumbled.
But maybe today is the day we whisper,
“Ya Rasool ul laah ﷺ, I’m still here. I’m still trying.”
And in that whisper lies our redemption.
