Hazrat Maulana Rūmī  [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh] also known as Mevlânâ (مولانا, "our master"), and more popularly simply as Rumi, was a 13th-century persian poet, faqih, Islamic scholar, theologian, and mystic originally from Greater Khorasan. 

 

 

Maulana Rumi's influence transcends national borders and ethnic divisions:
