CHILDHOOD EVENTS OF HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD &
GAURDIANSHIP OF HAZRAT ABU TAALIB THE PATERNAL UNCLE OF PROPHET
MUHAMMAD

The Beloved Mother Hazrat Aaminah of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلّم passed away when he was six years old [Radiyal Laah Anha].
His grandfather Hazrat
Ábdu’l Muttalib then became his Guardian.
When he reached
the age of eight years, two months and ten days, his grandfather, the most respected leader of
Makkah and strongest guardian of the Kabah Hazrat Abdul Muttalib passed away at
the age of eighty-four. The Loving Grandfather had a great fondness for the
Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلّم
as child being so lovely and the only orphaned
son of his most handsome youngest beloved son Hazrat Abdul laah and the virtuous
daughter-in-law Hazrat Bibi Aaminah.

صلى الله عليه وسلّم
he was personally
entrusted the guardianship of the Holy Prophet by his grandfather before his
death. He now assumed the responsibility of supervision, assimilation, and
social training of the Holy Prophet
صلى الله عليه وسلّم
with personal
care, deep love, and great attachment with the orphan son of his real younger
brother. It is during this period that the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلّم learnt the art of
goat farming and the practice of retail salesmanship as a dedicated worker.
