HAZRAT ZAIEN UL AABIDEEN THE AILING SON OF HAZRAT IMAAM HUSAIEN AT KARBALA رضی اللہ عنہ -The Event of Karbala-24

Hazrat Imaam Husaien رضی اللہ عنہ went into the tent and met his ailing son, the 22-year-old Zaien ul Aabideen who got out of his resting place, burning with fever and said to his father, ‘O my beloved father! Allow me to go out and be martyred.’ Hazrat Imaam Husaien رضی اللہ عنہ embraced his son and said, ‘Zaien ul Aabideen, if I allow you to go out then from whom will my progeny continue, I pray that Allaah Kareem spare you, to continue my progeny. He then bestowed him with Khilaafat and Leadership [Imaamat], then embraced him and spiritually gifted him. He then told him that after undergoing all these difficulties then as soon as he reaches Madinah, he must go to the ‘Sacred and Blessed Burial Chamber’ [Rauza Mubaraak] of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and present your fathers ‘Salaam’ Salutations and inform him of what transpired. After giving his son assurances and advice Hazrat Imaam Husaien رضی اللہ عنہ gets ready to go out into the battlefield.
