What is Maqaam e Ibraaheem [Alaiehis Salaam]?

MAQAAM-E-IBRAAHEEM
[Alaiehis Salaam]

There is a stone placed in glass case before the door of Sacred Ka'bah which has the imprints of the feet of
Prophet Ibraaheem [Alaiehis-Salaam] who rested his feet on it
while constructing the Holy Ka'bah.

After completing seven circles of Tawwaaf, two Nafal Wajib (compulsory) are to be offered with the intention of Tawwaaf that are to be offered near Maqaam Ibraaheem (place of Ibraaheem [Alaiehis Salaam] but as there is crowd during Hajj, Nafil may be offered anywhere in Mutaa’af.

After this one should come near the door of Ka’bah known as Multaazim, if one gets access one should cling to the wall of Ka’bah, cry and pray there as prayers are accepted at this place.

Ka’bah has four corners, out of which one is known as Rukn-e-Yemaani over the right side of the Hajr-e-Aswad, one should touch it with hand and kiss once during seven circles because it has been narrated in the Saheeh Ibne Khuzaimaa (book of Hadees) that Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ also did so.
Rukn e Yemeni

The Holy Prophet ﷺ said that as Hajr Aswad was affixed over it in the past so it may not feel abandoned now. Although this is only a stone but Holy Prophet ﷺ gave him respect, this means that due to the link, stone also becomes important.
