"A very great matter!
Hazrat Shaiekh Ibn Saa'di
(may Allaah have mercy on him)
says:
After reflection, I have found that there are only six remembrances (Azkaar) that are highly recommended in the Book and the Sunnah. These remembrances are a strong weapon and an effective remedy for you in your prolonged struggle, against grief, pain, hardship, illnesses, and sins.
First remembrance: Sending blessings on the Blessed Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) throughout the day, and seeing how many blessings you have sent at the end of the day.
Second remembrance: Seeking forgiveness frequently. If Allaah Kareem grants you the opportunity to say "Astaghfirul laah" in your free time, this remembrance dispels grief and opens the doors of sustenance for you.
أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبي مِنْ كُلِ ذَنبٍ وَأتُوبُ إلَيهِ
Transliteration: Astaghfir ul Laah Rabbi Min Kulli Zanmbin Wa Atoobu Ilaiyeh.
Translation: I ask forgiveness of my sins from Allaah who is my Lord and I turn towards Him.
Third remembrance:
"Yaa Zal-Jalaali Wa Al-Ikraam"
(O Possessor of Majesty and Generosity).
This remembrance is one of the forgotten Sunnah practices, although the Prophet (peace be upon him) emphasized its importance. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Adhere to saying 'Yaa Zal-Jalaali Wa Al-Ikraam'".
Fourth remembrance:
"Laa Hawla Wa La Quwwata Illa Billaah"
(There is no power or strength except with Allaah).
This phrase is one that the Prophet (peace be upon him) strongly emphasized and said:
"It is one of the treasures of Paradise".
Fifth remembrance:
The supplication of Prophet Yoonus (Alaiehis Salaam):
"Laa Ilahaa Illa Anta Subhanaka Inni kuntu Mina al-Zalimin"
(There is no deity except You, Glorified are You, indeed I have been among the wrongdoers).
This remembrance dispels grief and brings happiness.
Sixth remembrance:
Takbeer, Tahleel,Tasbeeh, and Tahmeed,
Takbeer is to proclaim the greatness of Allaah by saying Allaahu Akbar (Allaah is Great!)
Tahleel is to declare the oneness of Allaah by saying La ilaaha il-lal-laah (There is none worthy of worship except Allaah)
Tasbeeh is to glorify Allaah by saying Subhan Allaah
(Glory be to Allaah)
Tahmeed is to praise Allaah by saying Alhamdu lil laah
(All Praise belongs to Allaah)
Another beautiful hadeeth glitters like this:
It was narrated from Hazrat Nu’man bin Bashir that the Holy Prophet of Allaah (ﷺ) said:
“What you mention of glory of Allaah, of Tasbeeh (Subhan Allaah), Tahleel (Laa ilaaha il-lal-laah) and Tahmeed (Al-Hamdu lil laah), it revolves around the Throne, buzzing like bees, reminding of the one who said it.
Wouldn’t any one of you like to have, or continue to have, something that reminds of him (in the presence of Allaah Almighty)?'” Subhan Allaah!
"Sub haan Allaah, Alhamdu lil laah, La Ilaha illal laah, Allaahu Akbar" (Glory be to Allah, Praise be to Allaah, There is no deity except Allaah, Allaah is the Greatest).
Golden principles:
The effectiveness, benefit, and fruit of remembrances, supplications, and Ruqyah lie in their frequency, repetition, insistence, and reflection. The more you remember Allaah Kareem, the more you will gain His love. The more you insist in supplication, the sooner you will receive acceptance. The more you repeat Ruqyah, the more you will repel devils and eliminate the poison of envy.
Hazrat Hafiz Ibn al-Jauzi (may Allaah have mercy on him) says:
"Whoever wants his deeds to continue after his death, let him spread knowledge."
[Al-Tadhkirah fi al-Wa'z]"
