Sha'baan & Fasting

Upon the Arrival of the Sha'baan moon, in numerous blessings are showered upon us. Blessings are initiated which progressively escalate so that by mid-Sha'baan the blessings have reached a considerable amount and finally such blessings reach their peak by the end of Ramadaan.
The Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam) has said :“Shabaan has superiority over other months as I have superiority over all the Prophet’s [Alaiehis-Salaam.]
The Prophet (Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam) also said, “Between Rajab and Ramadan there is the blessed month of Shabaan.People are not aware of it. The actions of men are presented to Allaah Ta’aala in this month.
Therefore I like to fast when my actions are presented to Allaah Ta’aala.”

عن عائشة قالت: لم يكن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في شهر أكثر صياماً منه في شعبان لأنه ينسخ فيه أرواح الأحياء في الأموات، حتى أن الرجل يتزوج وقد رفع اسمه فيمن يموت، وإن الرجل ليحج وقد رفع اسمه فيمن يموت

Ummul Mu’mineen Hazrat Aa‘ishah Siddeeqah (Radiyal Allaahu Ta’aalaa ‘Anhaa)
“ The Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam)
used to fast the whole of Sha’baan. I said to him, ‘Messenger of Allaah, is Sha’baan your most favorite month for fasting?’ He said, ‘In this month Allaah prescribes the list of the persons dying this year. Therefore, I like that my death comes when I am in a state of fasting.”

In another Hadees our Beloved Prophet (Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam) has said
“When the blessed month of Shaaban reaches you, it cleanses your spirit to receive the blessed month of Ramadan. Be mindful, Shaaban is my month and anyone who keeps fast in it, my intercession will be waajib for him.
