He stayed married to her alone for 25
years, until she died.
When she died, Holy Prophet
Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]
stepped down into her grave to Bless it,
the tears would come to the eyes of our Beloved Prophet [Sallal Laahu
Alaieh Wa Sallam] whenever her name was mentioned. And whenever he slaughtered
a sheep He send a good share of it to the friends of
Hazrat Ummul Mu'mineen Saiyyidatunaa
Khadeeja tul Kubraa
[Radiyal Laahu 'Anhaa]
The Honorable Mother of the Believers.
Hazrat Anas narrates
when something was gifted to the Holy Prophet, He would put it into parts and say
"Take this part to that womens house because she was the friend of Khadijah, take this part to that womens house because She
loved Khadijah"
(The Holy Prophet never did this for any other wife)
