A study of the Masnavi and Divaan-i Kaabîr of Hazrat Maulânâ
Al Rumi
[Rahmatul Laahi ‘Alaieh]
reveals to us the opinions regarding the month of Ramadan
and fasting:
The Scholar and Poet Al-Rumi
[Rahmatul Laahi ‘Alaieh]
says,
"There is an unseen
sweetness in the stomach's emptiness." He compares people to reed pens,
wooden instruments that could not write without being hollowed out.
"Be Empty," He Says, "And Write Secrets."
This pen ["kalam"] holder is part
of a Turkish hunting set. It has an all-over floral design winding spirally
from the top to the bottom. The piece is studded with rubies and emeralds. In
the top are large emeralds. The piece has a reed nib, and fits into a pen box -Wikipedia
