To celebrate the Holy Prophet's birthday is to celebrate Islam, because the Holy Prophet is the symbol of Islam.
The obligation to increase the love and honor of the Holy Prophet
[Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wasallam].
Allaah Kareem asks the Holy Prophet, Peace be upon him, to remind his Nation that it is essential for those who claim to love Almighty Allaah, to love His Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wasallam]:
"Say to them: If you love Allaah, follow (and love and honor) me, and Allaah will love you"
(3:31).
