Good Deeds to Do In These 12 Days- Mawlid/Milad Un Nabi of the Holy Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him]

The Blessed Month of Milad Un Nabi Mubaarak

Let us celebrate the Important Day of our Beloved Holy Prophet

صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

with immense love and devotion.

Certainly, it is the blessing of Allaah Kareem that we are in the

Ummah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad

صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

His Ummah is superior to all other Ummahs and is called Khairul Umam (Best of Nations).

We are the torchbearers of the Holy Quran.

Our Deen, Islam, is a complete and total way of life chosen by Allaah Kareem Himself.

We have unlimited Bounties. But remember, all these are through the Intercession [Waseelah] of His beloved Prophet

and through his intercession we will gain salvation.

Preparing for Milad-Un-Nabi

On the eve of the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, take a bath, if possible, wear new or clean clothes, and use perfume.

After Iesha  Salaah perform Khatam-ul-Quran, listen to Zikr-e-Rasool, give hearing to the Ulema who will talk on the Holy Prophet Muhammad

 صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

For the rest of the night read Durood as much as possible. Also read Nafil Salah.

Make Du'a for yourself, and everybody all through the Intercession of the Holy Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

After Fajr Salaah, during the whole day, wherever we meet our Muslim brothers, greet them, and bless them.

Promote love and goodwill by embracing each other. On this day, giving charity on behalf of the Holy Prophet

صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

and to invite each other and to accept invitation of each other are all acts of virtue.

Fast on this day as this is the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad

 صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

Hazrat Imaam Malik the famous Islaamic Scholar has stated that the

Milaad of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] is superior to Laila tul Qadr, because on the Night of Qadr the Holy Quran was revealed and during this night, the Personality who introduced the Quran was born.

Madina

While celebrating Milaad-un-Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

along with these aforementioned good deeds, make an effort to act upon the following suggestions as well during this whole month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, especially from 1st Rabi-ul-Awwal to 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal (In shaa Allah).

1. In every Sunni Masjid and in every Sunni house recite either 12 Parts (Paras), or 12 Chapters (Surah), or 12 portions of Quraanic chapter of the holy Quraan every day.

2. Send peace and salutations (Durood-o-Salaam) on the holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as much as possible.

3. Keep a voluntary (Nafil) fast on Monday. Once when the holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

was asked about fasting on a Monday, said, "I keep fast on this day because I was born on this day, and the first revelation which came to me was on a Monday".

4. According to your capacity feed a few poor and needy people.

5. Pay the expenses for a poor person's wedding or arrange clothes or some other necessities of life for any helpless widow or person.

6. Pay the expenses for a poor and deserving student's education or pay expenses of at least one child in a religious school (Deeni Madrasah) until he becomes a true religious scholar (Aalim-e-Deen).

7. Make arrangements for any poor patient's medicine, or at least visit a sick person in your neighborhood or family.

8. Due to any worldly reason if anyone's relation is broken with any relative or Muslim brother then in rejoicing Eid Milad-un-Nabi

صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

try to be the first to reconnect.

9. If we have any religious, social, or human rights of anyone on us, then on this happiest occasion of Eid Milaad-un-Nabi

 صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

we should try to do our best to fulfill it.

10. If a needy person has taken loan from us, then just for  Almighty Allaah and His Beloved's pleasure and for their sake, according to your ability and capacity, either forgive the entire loan or some portion of the loan, or at least increase the returning time of the loan.
