The Birthplace of Holy Prophet Muhammad [Peace be upon Him] -Makkah-Mecca-Makah

Mecca, Makkah

THE BIRTHPLACE OF THE HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD :

The City of Mecca/Makkah/Makkah al-Mukarramah is the birthplace of the Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عايه وسالم its position is center of the Islamic world. This city is the oldest settlement of man on earth with construction of first house of worship by Hazrat Aadam [Allaah's Blessings on him], the first man on this earth, and it is toward this religious center that Muslims turn five times daily in prayers known as ‘Qiblah’.

This city is in Arabia, a big desert land between Red Sea and Syria with barren hills, glittering and blazing sands with few green places in its Hijaaz Zone.

Mecca, Makka, Makkah

The House of Allaah/Baiet ul Laah/Baiet ul Haram/ Khana e Kaabah. According to one tradition this House was built by the Angels 2000 years before the creation of Noble Prophet Hazrat Aadam [Alaiehis Salaam]. On the heavens there is a House of Allaah “Baiet-ul-Mamoor” the Qiblah of Angels. Exactly under this Baiet-ul-Mamoor, Baiet Ul laah was constructed by the Angels on the earth. According to another tradition when Hazrat Aadam [Alaiehis Salaam]. was sent to the earth, he constructed first House of Allaah on the earth as ordered by Almighty Allaah. These traditions have been quoted in sayings of the Holy Prophet Ahadees as well.

The Holy Quran tells us in Surah Al-Imraan Verse No 96...

“The first House ever constructed for mankind [to worship Allaah] is indeed the one in Makkah/Mecca, abounding with blessings and [the center of] guidance for the whole world.”

In this verse it has been clarified by Holy Quran that this is the first house; this may mean first House of Allaah or the first building ever constructed on the earth was this sacred house of Allaah which is also known as Kaabah-tul laah. Kaabah means high, magnificent; so, this, the house of Allaah it is high with high walls and most magnificent in the world, that is why it is known as Kaabah.

Quran has explained this, therefore in the verse No 26 from Surah Hajj as well…

And [recall] when We fixed for Ibrahim [Abraham] the site of the House of Allaah for the construction of the Kaabah and ordained him:

‘Do not associate with Me anything and keep My House [after its construction] purified and clean for those who circumambulate it and those who stand and those who kneel and prostrate themselves in Prayer.’

It has been told in the Holy Quran that whoever had entered into this house he has been given peace and protection, obviously what better shelter will be then the house of Allaah Almighty. This is the house reconstructed by Hazrat Ibraheem [Alaiehis Salaam]. and Hazrat Ismaeel [Alaiehis Salaam]. One may consider Hazrat Jibraeel [Gabriel] [Alaiehis Salaam]. as architect or engineer who specified the measurements and Hazrat Ibraheem and Hazrat Ismaeel [Alaiehimus Salaam] who constructed it.

This is the house every believer long to visit and see it. The sight of this house refreshes the Eemaan [Belief]. This is the center of the whole earth, just seeing this house with love has Blessings.

According to Hadith/Hadees [Saying of Holy Prophet Muhammad ] every moment 120 blessings are revealed to Baiet Ul laah, 60 are for those who are circumambulate or doing Tawa’af [go around Kaabah], 40 are for those who offer prayers facing towards it and 20 are for those who just sit and watch it with love and respect.

This is a Hadees/Hadith from Muslim Sharif, Hazrat Abu-Hurairah [Radiyal Laah Anha] narrates Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ said….

“A believer is cleaned from sins as a newborn after visiting the Holy Kaabah”.

As a newborn has no sins, so the believer is forgiven all of his sins. So, this is the house that is the first house of Allaah, also known as Baiet Ul lah, Khana-e-Kaabah and Quran has told one more name of it… Masjid-al-Haram as mentioned in Surah Banee Israael.

So Holy Quran termed it as Masjid-al-Haram…. Honorable House with Dignity and respect. This is the house of Allaah, Muslims from all over the world visit it for Umrah, Ziaarat and Hajj.

May Allaah Kareem bless us that we may visit Kaabah and perform pilgrimage, Tawaaf, Umrah and Hajj.
