Imaam Hazrat Zaien ul A’bideen [Radiyal Laah Anhu] on the 18th of Muharram his date of Martyrdom.
The beloved son of Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laah Anhu].
He was blessed with beautiful character, which he definitely
inherited from his illustrious forefathers. He was very eloquent and very
respectful. He was always willing to assist those in need. Hazrat Umar Abu Nasr
writes that Hazrat Imaam Zaien ul-'A’bideen [Radiyal Laah Anhu] use to purchase various
slaves, and then set them free. He would be kind even to those who were his
personal enemies. Once he heard that there was a certain person who always
spoke ill of him. He went to him and treated him with such respect and
kindness, that his enemy repented from his bad behavior and affiliated himself
to the great Imaam. Many great poets have written numerous Qasida’s in praise
of his kindness and generosity.
