How many Nafil (نفل) prayers are there and which are those ones?

Answer:

 “Nafil” (supererogatory) prayers are numerous which one can offer, as many as he likes, any time except for odious timings. Some of them, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet صلّی اللہ علیہ وسلم and “Aaimah عائمہ” (Muslim Scholars) are:

 "Tahi-yatul Masjid" (prayer for the dignity of mosque), “Tahi-yatul Wudu/ Wuzuu” (Prayer for the dignity of ablution), Salaat ul Ishraaq صلوٰۃ اشراق, Salaat ud Duha (Chasht چاشت), prayer for journey, prayer on return from journey, Salaat ut Tahajjud, Salaat ut Tasbeeh, Salaatul Haajat صلوٰۃ الحاجت (prayer for fulfillment of needs), Salaat ul Awwaabeen, Salaat ul Ghausiyah, Salaat ut Taubah (prayer of repentance), “Salaat Hifzul Iemaan” 

(prayer for protection of Islamic faith) etc.
